Support my 8-week endurance challenge to help kids go to school in Cambodia
Avondale, Auckland
Our school is proudly partnering with local initiatives in Cambodia to break the cycle of poverty by providing children with the essential resources they need to access a quality education. To support this mission, I am undertaking an eight-week "Acts of Endurance" challenge designed to reflect the daily hardships many of these students face while raising vital funds for their schooling. This is how it will go:
Week 1: No phone use
Week 2: Eating only basic rations
Week 3: Showering with only cold water
Week 4: Once the sun goes down candlelight will be the only source of lighting
Week 5: Forbidden from using any chairs, couches, or beds. I must sit on the hard floor for all meals and homework, and then sleep on a thin mat or the floor at night.
Week 6: Spend 4 hours in a room with zero entertainment (no phone, books, or toys)
Week 7: Hand washing clothes rather than using the washing machine
Week 8: Vow of Silence for 24 hours. This represents the children whose voices are lost because they are trapped in the cycle of poverty and cannot access education
