Auckland

With everything that has happened in 2020, from the COVID-19 outbreak to the wave of social issues that have been brought to light because of it, UoA MDC has also come to recognise its unique position, as a student led, non profit organisation at the University of Auckland, to help students facilitate a change within the wider community.

According to the report by NZ Herald, within the first 4 days (from March 26th to March 29th ) of national lockdown, New Zealand Police have recorded up to 595 family violence incidents nationwide, nearly 150 cases per day. Hence why, all UoA MDC social events for 2021 will serve to raise awareness about family violence and funds for Women’s Refuge New Zealand so that they may continue to do the great work that they do.

However, if social events aren’t your cup of tea, you may give a little directly to Women’s Refuge New Zealand through the donate button. Similarly, if you're a business or brand and sponsoring us is too big of a commitment at this moment in time, you may also give a little directly to Women’s Refuge New Zealand through the donate button.

Actions speak volume. Your contribution may go a long way for women & children who are victim to family violence.

Make some noise for Women's Refuge New Zealand. Donate today.
