WHY? In short, through good, well funded research we are saving future generations, and that's a race worth winning!
Auckland
THE WHY?
With New Zealand's current health issues and sighting the recent global pandemic, it has been seen, that good research allows for greater response to the issues of health, none more important than that of children.
THE HOW?
Join Stephen Brown, an online ZWIFT racer, as he climbs the height of Mt Everest covering 8848 meters of up!
THE WHAT?
This challenge covers the revered Alpe Du Zwift, with 1036 meters of climbing for each lap with a total of 8 laps to complete.
This route has been recreated from the legendary Alpe D'Huez, a mountain stage in the Tour de France race. Stephen will be covering just under 100km of climbing in under a single day.
The course dynamics can be found here https://www.zwift.com/news/5753-climb-alpe-du-zwift.
The event will be LIVE streamed through Stephens personal page and on ZOOM by following this link. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83001325381?pwd=V3Q1QUlSeGtLaGhsNkRvSDh1SHJOUT09
Families are the cornerstone of our community and children are the hallmarks of our future. Supporting our countries children and medical needs to help lead normal well rounded lives from research adds to stronger families and healthier communities.
LIVE stream test 27 March 2021
Hey everyone!
Shut the gate, appreciate the donations to this great cause.
Thank you so much:0)
Quick update - last night I tested the ZOOM link to broadcast the ride LIVE on 2 April from 9pm. All went well so will stream the training rides through this week to keep the tech checks in place and up to date.
Training will take on a taper this week with easy rides and no racing just to dial everything from legs to wheels in.
More at FB VRCyclist.
Thanks again
Stevo.
