Financial Services Council are delighted to announce Voices of Hope as our charity partner for the 2020 Conference - Generations.

Auckland

Financial Services Council and Voices of Hope have formed a wonderful partnership over the past few years and we are delighted to announce them as our charity partner for the 2020 Conference.

Voices of Hope was founded in 2014 by Genevieve Mora and Jazz Thornton. Both being mental illness survivors they felt the need to use their past experiences alongside their passion for creating content to provoke and bring change. They do this by creating videos that target mental illness issues as well as writing blog posts on different topics. Since the launch of Voices of Hope, their content has received both national and international recognition and has caught the attention of companies wanting to support their vision.

MEET THE FOUNDERS:

GENEVIEVE MORA

As a mental illness survivor I feel like I need to use my past in order to help others. I didn’t go through all that torment just to sit here and let someone else struggle. My firsthand experience could make a huge difference to those suffering. From the very beginning I knew needed to use my experience to help save lives. I am here to provide hope and to let people know that there IS a light at the end of the tunnel. I AM PROOF!

JAZZ THORNTON

As someone who has fought and overcome mental illness I have such a strong passion to help see others through it. I nearly lost my life to my mental illness many times, but instead I am lucky enough to be alive today to tell my story. My hope is that people will not only hear stories, but will learn strategies so that they can uncover the hope that certain circumstances can hide and therefore become free.

As we are a not-for-profit organization, Voices of Hope doesn’t receive any funding so money raised will allow us to continue to produce material such as videos, blogs and personal stories. We want to continue to be a platform for those to share their stories as well as provide much needed to hope to those that are fighting mental illness and your donation can help us to do that.

Our content has proven to save lives and the messages we recieve daily remind us of WHY we are doing this.

The way mental illness is treated and talked about in NZ needs to change.

Help us make that happen.
