I will be stepping into the ring to fight 3 rounds in the annual charity boxing event to raise funding for I AM HOPE.
Otago
In 2018, in Aotearoa 137 young people died by suicide and it is estimated that another 3500 tried to take their own lives. Some kids are stuck waiting up to six months to receive the counselling they desperately want. I AM HOPE is the youth and community focussed support group run by The Key to Life Charitable Trust, started by Mike King. The charitable trust has been promoting positive attitudinal societal change in schools and communities up and down the country and funding private care and counselling for young people. On the 12th of July, after 10 weeks of training, I will be stepping into the boxing ring to fight three rounds in the Otago University's annual charity boxing night to raise awareness and funding to this cause. All funds that are raised to this page will be donated to the I AM HOPE gumboot Friday Kete. Every donation helps save a life as well as bring positive attitudinal societal change.
I am fighting in the OUSA charity boxing fight night. All funds that have been raised by me for this fight will be donated to the I am Hope gumboot kete to be used to connect kids with mental health counsellors and practitioners in their region.
