Hi my name is Jazz and I will be walking from Apiti to Feilding New Zealand (43km) raising awareness of Gynaecological Cancer's.
Although I have not suffered from this I have been made aware of just how little we hear of cancers like uterine, ovarian and vulvar/vaginal. I have also been made aware that testing for the likes of Ovarian cancer is not done via a smear test! In fact there is no screening for Ovarian cancer.
A word to remember: Beat - B: is for Bloating (persistent, does not come and go). E: is for Eating (difficulty eating and feeling full quickly). A: is for Abdominal (and Pelvic pain you feel most days). T: is for Talking (Tell your doctor!)
Please if something does not seem 'right' get seen xx
