Too many children die of Leukaemia and Blood Cancer. My cousins' 5 year old boy was one of them.

I've never attempted a Half Ironman (2km swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run) before, but I figured if I'm going to put in the blood sweat and tears to make this happen I should also raise some money for a charity that does great work and is dear to my heart.

I'm attempting the Tauranga Half Ironman on 20th January 2018 at Mt Maunganui.

I've never done a race like this before, although I completed my first Triathlon (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run) in January 2016, and followed this up with another one a month later.

We did it!  21 January 2018

We managed to raise $1100 for the Leukemia and Blood Cancer Foundation of New Zealand and I managed to complete my first Half Ironman!
