Thank you for supporting me for Loud Shirt Day 2019: where we have fun, wear colour, and change the lives of New Zealand's deaf and hearing impaired children.
My son has Cochlear Implants. He got them at 6 months old. With the help of Hearing House he has learnt to speak and hear as well as his friends.
Because like all kids he is crazy active, we started making our own headbands to keep his 'magic science ears' (as he likes to call them) on his head.
This LOUD SHIRT DAY, I want to thank all those contributing to loud shirt day by sending you a headband for your little one to wear. Just donate $10 on this page, leave your address in the comments or message me on my facebook page, and a headband will wings its way to you super fast.
For the perfect fit - please measure your child's head circumference (around the hairline) and let me know so I can custom make to fit.
Don't have a child with Cochlear Implants but want to donate? I am happy to make a headband and give it to a family who are starting their journey with Cochlear Implants. $10 and a quick comment to say give my headband to Hearing House (Auckland) or Give my headband to SCIP (Christchurch). And you will delight a family with a little one learning to hear.
