My beard has to go - help make it worthwhile by donating to KidsCan!

Wellington

After years of careful grooming, many litres of beard oil, and an 18th-century chandelier’s worth of moustache wax, it’s time for my beard to come off. I can’t fit it under my racing helmet anymore (in fact, a Fire Marshal labelled it “hazardous”), and I’d really like to eat ribs in public again. Also, my boss says beards aren’t cool anymore.

This is a pretty tough decision - I won’t fit in at Heavy Metal concerts, nor be able to make fun of my truck-driving Father for having a better beard than him. To make it all worthwhile, I’m partnering with Meridian Energy to raise some money for KidsCan!

KidsCan is a really worthwhile charity that helps provide Kiwi kids in need with food, clothing and health items at school. Meridian raises thousands of dollars for KidsCan every year, and I’d be really proud to add a little to that. Any donation no matter how small to this great cause will be hugely appreciated, and help cheer me up over losing my hard-earned Soup-Strainer.

D-Day is the 28th of February at a Meridian Team Building day.
