Growing the dreaded but whispy slug for the 3rd year running to support the #hear4u charity!

After losing my Grandfather to suicide many years ago, suicide prevention and awareness is something very close to my heart and suicide is something that is happening all to often!

Men (and woman) of our industry experience a lot of different pressures - early mornings, long hours, increased time away from whanau, mahi in isolated places, log market down turn, it’s a lot for the people of our industry to mentally go through.

I’m doing things a little differently this year and have taken a step away from the Movember movement and decided to raise funds for the local Hear4u charity so they can keep doing their mahi for our community. Hear4u is dedicated to helping the men of Tairawhiti in the space of mental health and advocating suicide awareness amongst our region, funds raised stay in Tairawhiti.
