I will be walking up Mount Maunganui 38 times in 24 hours! To raise money for Life Matters Suicide
Bay of Plenty
More than 12 people die every week from suicide in New Zealand. That's 1-2 people every day. In 2017-2018, 668 people died from suicide in our country. Thats almost double the number of those who die from car accidents. For every person who dies from suicide more than 100 people are affected.
Unfortunately I lost a family member not so long ago and I know many people that have and are suffering with mental health issues. Inspired by the amazing work that the Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust does I want to support them by raising money and giving back to those in need. Please help me help them by giving generously.
The Mount Everest challange is walking up Mount Maunganui 38 times in 50 days to raise money for a cause. Others have done this before me and my personal goal will be to do the challenge in 24 hours! Yes 24 hours on the 22nd March 2019. So dig deep, help make a difference and come along to support if you can.
Life Matters is a lifeline that helps to promote awareness and provides crucial support within our communities for suicide. My Givealittle page will help towards supporting this great cause to make a difference and give back to those in need.
