Our Tandem Ride for Deafblind Association NZ Charitable Trust

$580 donated
Given by 19 generous donors in 9 weeks

As the Deafblind Association receives no government funding, we thought this would be a fun way to bring awareness to the community.

Nelson / Tasman

Amanda and I started riding together in August 2020, our ride in the K2M is to bring awareness and raise money for Deafblind Association NZ Charitable Trust. To find out more about the organisation please go to; http://www.deafblindassociation.nz

The Deafblind Association NZ was established as a charitable trust in 2014. Deafblind Association NZ is a not-for-profit organisation and receives no funding from central government and is required to source funding to finance the support it provides.

We knocked it off!  6 June 2021

Thanks to everyone for the support we have received both monetary and personal. For me - i said i wouldn't do the K2M again, but when the opportunity came up and Amanda was keen - i thought - how hard could it be on a tandem - we got this! 2hrs 50mins - came in under the 3hr time frame. The weather was absolute rubbish - not what i had envisaged when we signed up, but hey ho - off we went.

The attached image is of Amanda & I crossing the finish line.
