Nelson / Tasman

Paul Hampton is the driving force behind Victory Boxing – a community gym making a huge impact and positive difference to the lives of Nelson’s youth. Now in its 5th successful year, Victory Boxing welcomes 100’s of kids to participate in the youth programme each year, who benefit from a fitness programme underpinned by core values of respect, responsibility, determination and caring.

Paul is now hoping to make a huge impact for the Nelson community by taking part in the dancing spectacular that is "Dancing for a Cause - Nelson Hospice" which aims to raise money for a new Nelson Hospice facility.

Paul is excited, albeit slightly nervous, about “Dancing with the Stars” in Nelson but was keen to offer his support to the Nelson Tasman Hospice which does a lot of amazing work for the community.

“We are always encouraging the kids at Victory Boxing to challenge themselves, and to get out of their comfort zone,” says Paul. “This is an opportunity for me to not only talk the talk, but walk the walk (or should that be waltz the waltz)!”
