On Friday December 8, I'm dying my hair light pink. I'll wear this hairstyle for one month and shave it off Monday January 8.

Breast cancer affects everyone, whether because they have been diagnosed, or a relative or friend has been. I have first-hand experienced the struggle of losing my much-loved Mum to breast cancer, and would wish that upon nobody. That is why I am motivated to raise as much money as possible to prevent others from suffering.
Earlier this year, on July 29, my mother Harriet passed away after a five year battle with breast cancer. In honour of her memory I am dying my hair light pink for one month before shaving it off. This is to raise money for and awareness of efforts to combat the cancer. Sweet Louise, a charity for women living with secondary breast cancer, made a massive difference to the quality of Mum's final years. I am forever grateful for that, which is why half of the proceeds I raise will go towards Sweet Louise. The other half I will donate to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, so that they can continue their great work, which affects so many people.
Please donate money, even as little as a dollar, to help people like my mother, my family, myself, and anyone who has previously suffered as a result of this horrible cancer.
Also, a massive thank you to Spectra Hair for dying my hair, free of charge, to support the cause.
I'm the 16 year old daughter of an amazing mum who was lost to breast cancer.
