Plunging 17 Storeys To Give Our Children Brighter Futures

The goal is to raise a minimum $3000. When the target is reached, collectively my dad and I will match the generosity to further accelerate the impact. The funds raised on this page will go the Starship Foundation and their Research & Innovation Fund. I will donate $1500 to the Make a Wish Foundation and their Rope For Hope campaign and take the plunge on the 16th of November.

We need to invest in the future of our children, because we have a burning platform. Despite Starship’s world class healthcare, we as a nation are lagging behind. NZ is currently 38 out of 41 when it comes to child health and wellbeing. We have the highest youth suicide rates in the OECD, we have respiratory diseases that are no longer prevalent in developed countries and our dental and obesity statistics make you want to cry.

So together with Starship we have set ourselves a target to double our income to $20m per year to accelerate the pace of change and have a more transformational impact in 6 key areas

- Providing greater family and emotional support,

- Ensuring we uplifts spirits and reduce pain for our children

- Enabling faster recovery times and less invasive treatments

- Providing for more preventative solutions with research and innovation

- Ensuring no child is left behind because of ethnicity or geography

- and course to continuing to extend and save lives.
