A mild hogs adventure to raise money for prostate cancer

Nationwide

Late in 2023 a group of men (The Mild Hogs) from Auckland felt the need for an adventure. As with many good stories this adventure was hatched over a few beers one evening. The plan eventually settled on was to ride Honda Postie Motorcycles from Cape Reinga to Bluff - The Postie Bike Challenge. Why a challenge? Well, we are all on the wrong side of 50, we've chosen to ride 2,500kms on 109cc motorbikes designed for delivering mail - top speed 80km/hr, we don't have any support vehicle or back-up and 4 of us didn't even have motorbike licenses.

The 6 hogs (Brian, Murray, Martin, Ian, Julian & Scott) will head off on February 16th 2025 and spend 12 days traversing the full length of New Zealand. We will avoid motorways, salads and early nights and we hope to raise some money for a worthy cause along the way.
