Fundraising for Brain Tumour Support NZ
Nationwide
Tessa and I have both been affected by cancer. Tessa lost her mum to a brain tumour when she was 6 - back in 2014 and since then she has been affected by this in many ways. Over the past year we lost my fathers cousin and our friend to brain cancer and this affected many members of my family. We have seen how brain cancer can destroy peoples lives in just a few months and we want to help families going through that. We have chosen brain tumour support group because we love what they do. The money that we raise will be used to provide brain boxes to people with a new diagnosis of brain cancer, this gives information and love to anybody with a new diagnosis. This money will also be used to train the friends peer support. Qualified psychologists train the volunteers (who have had experience of a brain tumour) to be peer support for the person with the brain tumour diagnosis. Tessa and I think this support group does a great job and we want to help.
