Rena Zhu Miss Auckland 2018 Finalist - Youthline

This year I have been so privileged to have been selected as a Miss Auckland 2018 finalist. I entered Miss Auckland not only for building self-confidence, gaining new experiences and making many new friends, but Miss Auckland is another avenue for me to engage more in my local community and raise awareness/fundraise for charities. With Youthline being our chosen charity this year and having worked with children/ youth in the past, this is an organisation I see fit for both myself and Miss Auckland. I am someone who is respectful, honest, friendly and very hardworking. I enjoy helping others and help them reach their goals. I definitely want to create a change in my community, and where it be youth development, community engagement or education, I think with the title of “Miss Auckland 2018 Finalist” I can utilise it to the fullest and start creating that vision of change. joining this was definitely not something I ever thought I would sign up for, but sometimes you’ve gotta get out there, take risks, take chances and experience it or else you wouldn’t have known what it would be like.
