We are riding 3000km off road in less than 30 days and raising funds for Achilles International NZ who support runners with disabilities.
Nationwide
In February/March 2016 my husband Gordon and I are doing the Aotearoa Brevet. The AB is an unsupported 3000km off road cycle adventure that will see us ride from Cape Reinga to Bluff in less than 30 days. That's an average of at least 100km per day for 30 days - much of it on gravel road and single track.
We are fundraising for Achilles International NZ who helped get my sister-in-law Nic Miller-Clendon to the New York Marathon this year. Nic has multiple sclerosis and Achilles helped her and my brother get to New York and provided support for them while they were there. Achilles International NZ supports people with any type of disability run. They provide guides if needed and equipment along with specialist training sessions. Any funds raised will go directly to Achilles International New Zealand.
We are riding a 3000 km off road route together as part of the Aotearoa Brevet - see www.touraotearoa.nz for further information on the ride.
We'd like to raise $3000 - $1 for every km ridden!
