Research is needed to find the cause and assist in helping people overcome Lewy Bodies Dementia.

Nationwide

Just over two years ago my Grandad, Morrie Baird, passed away after a long fight with Lewy Bodies Dementia. Seeing his struggle was very difficult. The disease meant we had to say goodbye to him before he was even gone.

I am competing in the Taupo Cycle Challenge on the 28th of November (160kms around the Lake) in his honour, and would like to see how much we can raise to help fight this disease.

Research is needed to find the cause and assist in helping people overcome Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders. This is where the Neurological Foundation can step in and help.

The Neurological Foundation have helped neuroscience breakthroughs for numerous neurological disorders. This, in turn, brings hope to the one in five New Zealanders whose lives will be affected by these often debilitating, life-limiting conditions.

Such progress would not be possible without the unwavering support and generosity of New Zealanders. 98% of Neurological Foundation funds come from individual donations and bequests, and 100% of these donations are committed to fund internationally peer-reviewed neurological research and talented New Zealand neuroscientists and clinicians.

Thanks very much!

Cheers,

Simon
