Help us raise money to support the Christchurch Muslim Community.

Canterbury

Kate and I never thought we would run a half marathon, even more so never thought there would be terrorism in our home. Which is why we are going to run the Hackney Half-Marathon in London.

7 minutes drive away from one of our family homes and where we both went to school, on the 15th March terrorism hit and killed 50 people and injured another 50 from our Muslim community.

Christchurch will always be home for us and we need your help and support to raise as much money as we can for the victims, which will go towards supporting the families and Muslim communities impacted by the tragic events.

There are TWO things you can do to help us:

1. Donate. Even your measly $2, go on :)

2. Do not let any acts of racism go unchallenged. We all need to be aware and call it out when you can, from all cultures, races and beliefs.

"We cannot confront these issues alone, none of us can. But the answer to them lies in a simple concept that is not bound by domestic borders, that isn’t based on ethnicity, power base or even forms of governance. The answer lies in our humanity." - Jacinda Ardern

If you have got this far, thank you and congrats, it means a lot to us. If you would like to follow our battling journey in the lead up to the half, add us on Instagram KateHattieRun21 :)

Kia Kaha, As-salaam Alaikum.

Kate and Hattie xx
