While bringing hands-on science into the primary school classroom, I've see first hand the importance of fuelling their minds to help with their learning. KidsCan exists to meet the physical and nutritional needs of Kiwi kids less fortunate than others so they can be more engaged in their education and have a better chance of reaching their potential in life. Their vision is of a New Zealand where less fortunate children have an equal opportunity to make a positive contribution to society.

Please help me support their work nationwide by sponsoring my upcoming running race on July 21st along 26kms of the beautiful Queen Charlotte Sounds Track - The Captain Cooks Landing Race.

Mission complete! 21 July 2018

Started as a clear morning in Picton, with forecast rain and gales holding off for the start at Camp Bay. Rain started in earnest soon after 14kms and settled in. Two tough hill climbs at the end that had me walking a bit, but since I hadn’t trained for the past month due to illnesses, I wasn’t ever going to be running that part! Ran across the finish line 3 hours 36 mins after starting. A good job done and all for worthy causes of helping less-fortunate children and challenging myself. Thank you for your generous support; an amazing outcome for Kidscan NZ.
