Raising money to support Farmers in need

Marlborough

This year we are carrying on our campaign to raise funds to help support our Rural Communities. 2017 sees a myriad of farmers from across NZ taking part in Shave Free For Calving to help men and women all over the country who are trying to negotiate their way through a variety of circumstances. Many don't have the resources or the support they need to cope.

I, along with many others around the country, have shaved my head and all my facial hair to mark the beginning of Calving season. My face and head will not be seeing a razor or a pair of clippers again until the last calf is born, which could be in 12 weeks time! So dig deep people. The cause is worthy, the cows are ready and I am going to look like a werewolf come October...let's face it, you would all pay to see that.

Lyndon Campbell's involvement (page creator)

I am involved because I as a Dairy Farmer, am also farming through this tough time. Every day in this field (mind the pun) is difficult...rewarding but challenging. I am only too aware that a lot of Farmers (both men and women) don't have the support of family and friends that I do during the tough times. Anything I can do to make it a little easier for a fellow Farmer is worth it. Itchy face and all.
