Skydiving draws attention to the fact that counselling requires a jump of courage, helping to reframe focus and determine what's important.

My name is Claire Read. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1999 and since then my life has been full of challenges. I am now confined to a wheelchair and living under the care of Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital.
Because of the challenges I live with, I have been encouraged to seek counselling through Home and Family Counselling. I am grateful for their help and would like to give back. Skydiving seemed an awesome way to give back to Home and Family Counselling and highlight the fact that both counselling and skydiving requires a jump of courage.
As my life gets smaller, people around me highlighted the things that I can do, and skydiving in tandem is something that I can repeat, having done it before. Now I just need a support team to assist me, which I have from the team at Elizabeth Knox Home.
Please give generously to this wonderful organisation so they can carry on supporting New Zealanders.
I am motivated to help because I attend Home and Family Counselling and it is a great cause to support Mental Health.
Take the plunge and experience a skydive from 16,500 feet – that’s 75 seconds of Freefall with our Jump for Counselling appeal.
