To run the South Island half marathon to raise money and awareness of the Heart Foundation, in Memory of Sean Fowler
Canterbury
My dad, Sean Fowler, lived his life to the fullest. Running many successful companies, travelling extensively around the world, dabbling in horse racing and car racing usually with a glass of wine in hand, but most importantly raising two girls who are forever grateful to have had him as a father and role model. Dad took the phrase "being the life and soul of the party" to the next level and this lifestyle eventually took a toll on his heart causing him to have many different problems along the way. These included heart disease and unfortunately heart attacks which lead to heart failure. This then claimed his life on August 18th 2020, at age 54.
This is way too early too go as he has left behind a massive hole in our lives and day's just aren't as bright without him around. His daily phone calls to nearly everyone in his contact list are truely missed.
In the hope to raise awareness of this terrible disease, a group of us have come together to run the South Island half marathon, in Ashburton on the 1st of August 2021. As this will nearly be a year on from dad passing, it will be a very special event. Any donations would be appreciated in dad's memory.
