Nationwide

I am cycling the length of New Zealand as part of the 2021 3,000 km brevet - a self supported bicycle ride down the length of NZ: the http://www.touraotearoa.nz/p/group-ride.html

Tour Aotearoa is one of the world’s great bikepacking trips: stretching 3,000 km from Cape Reinga to Bluff it follows a combination of cycle trails, tracks, paths and lanes connected by the most enjoyable country roads available.

thanks for supporting forest and bird  19 March 2021

Thank you for your donation to Forest and Bird. The bike ride was epic and fun. It was great to share with fellow adventurers and also whatsapp followers back home. My ride ended in Wellington after riding over 1,500 km on backroads and trails of North Island. I can see that Forest and Bird have a lot for us to do - on my trip the most common bird was the magpie! and so many hills were denuded of trees long ago and so much of the forest I saw was pine. Highlight was the Timber Trail which took us all through NZ forests of all stages. Thanks again for your support! Ian
