Kia Ora Everyone,

I've made this page to support our tamariki in need. I am passionate about the next generation and giving them the best start in life. To hear there are innocent kids all around the country living without things I used to take for granted growing up deeply saddens me and we need this to change.

For many of us, like myself, we went to school with a full tummy, we had a decent packed lunch. We had socks, shoes and a jacket to keep us warm during the winter. But for 290,000 Kiwi kids, this isn't the case. KidsCan play their part in providing kids with food, clothing and basic healthcare items but they still need our help.

Many children living in hardship experience hunger on a daily basis, never knowing if they will receive three meals a day or even one. They go without shoes or go to school with shoes in a bad condition. In winter, those without shoes might choose to stay at home and miss out on their education. For families struggling to make ends met, providing raincoats or warm jackets for their kids can be a real challenge. The cold winter weather keeps many at home, while others arrive wet and freezing, unable to concentrate and at high risk of illness. Basic healthcare items and services are also are far reach for these same families with sick children.
