Suicide is a killer..!!
So I am here asking for your help to raise the much needed funds to provide the extra support needed for our youth in New Zealand.
You may not have a direct link to someone struggling with mental health or your may not know that a family member or friend or might be struggling. Mental health is in my family, bipolar and depression. My mother suffered silently with depression and suicidal thoughts until one day it all got too much and she tried to end her life. This is the reason that this subject is very close to my heart. Thankfully she did not end up as a statistic as she was able to get the support needed. But for other this many not be the case.
We in New Zealand can take a "she'll be right" attitude and that is having an impact.
The system currently in place can only do so much with so little money and as a result so many of our young people are falling through the cracks.
It needs to change.
