Raising $1000 so we can keep sending kids to Camp Quality NZ!
Canterbury
Camp Quality New Zealand is an organisation that holds annual camps across Aotearoa for children living with cancer. Each child is matched with a companion for the duration of the camp which is absolutely loaded with surprises, fun and all round good stuff. Its a place that gives these children a chance to 'just be kids' and there is something so special about that.
As a young gun, I spent one week a summer for 7 years attending Camp Quality Christchurch as a Camper. It was here I learnt to make the most of every opportunity, to act with compassion and resilience. I was introduced to a family I am still a part of today, having completed 5 camps as a Companion. I am stoked to be in position to give back to this organisation which is why I'm 'jumping' at the chance to join some absolute legends who have decided to throw ourselves out of a plane at 13000ft. The aim of the game is to raise $1000 in order to jump on the 28th of March!
I never thought I would be capable of skydiving -it terrifies me- but after facing some of life's hardest challenges these kids have taught me a lot of things, courage being one of them.
If this sounds like something you would like to get behind then please do! I am happy to answer any questions to spread the word about Camp and the incredible effect it has on peoples lives.
Lets do it!
I have been involved in Camp Quality Christchurch since I was eight years old. I consider myself very lucky that I was able to spend 7 years at camp as a camper and I came back for more as a Companion in 2014 and can't stay away!
