1 in 10 women/those assigned at birth suffer from endometriosis; a chronic illness where cells/tissue similar to that within the uterus, grow abnormally on the outside of the uterus, with the potential to spread to other organs/areas of the body.
Endometriosis is not just a reproductive illness, but a full body one, that does not have a cure.
I am 1 in 10.
I have been suffering from endometriosis probably not long after I first started to menstruate. It wasn’t until I was roughly 18/19 that I decided enough is enough, and demanded answers for the pain I was in. At 21 I had my first Laparoscopy Surgery. I want to thank Endometriosis New Zealand and Endo Warriors Aotearoa, who provide education and support for those who suffer. Without organisations like them, my fellow Endo Warriors and I would be extremely lost.
Endometriosis is a silent and invisible illness. PLEASE, help me change that. In March 2022 I am raising important funds for Endometriosis New Zealand, by…
