Emily is running a marathon in the memory of her daughter Hope. Fundraising for Sands Taranaki's memorial garden project.
Taranaki
Over the past 20 weeks Emily has been training for her first marathon in the memory of her baby Hope who passed in 2011 due to anencephaly.
Sands Taranaki are currently planning a memorial garden project. Emily is seeking people to sponsor her to raise funds towards this project. What she is looking for is 42 people to donate $42 (total $1764). All funds raised will go towards the garden project, and donations over $5 are tax deductible.
Perhaps you would like to be one of the 42 supporting Emily to help get her over the finish line. We invite you to donate in your special child's memory. Be it your child, grandchild, sibling, niece/nephew, friend's baby, co-worker's child or perhaps in the memory of someone else you have loved and lost.
This last week Emily's dear training buddy fractured her foot and can no longer help get her to the finish line. Lets get behind her and let her know that although we can't be there, we are with her in spirit.

Today was the Day!! 1 July 2018
Today, Emily successfully completed the Wellington marathon!
It was a miserable day in Wellington today, wet and windy, which made things pretty hard. Despite that, Emily did amazingly, completing in a time of 4 hours 40 minutes.
The sun did peek out for a moment, creating this beautiful rainbow which Emily captured, a wee message of encouragement from Hope.
We are sooo proud of you Em, you have done so well! And on behalf of Sands Taranaki I would like to thank all that have donated, we can't wait to get stuck in to our memorial garden plans.
Your message will be displayed on the page and emailed to the donor.
