Auckland

Hi friends and family

I'm walking the Auckland Half Marathon on October 28 to raise funds for the Catwalk Spinal Cord Injury Research Trust.

This organisation funds research that aims to fix paralysis following spinal cord injury. CatWalk is dedicated to supporting world-class research and innovation. Its goal is simple, to get people out of wheelchairs and back onto their feet.

I'm walking with the fantastic team from Hands On Rehabilitation and I would love your support - every little bit helps! And it's tax deductible. How good is that.

I feel privileged to have the ability to move my legs (even if I don't do it as often as I should) and just want to do this very small thing to help those who can't.

Halfway there  14 September 2018

I've just had to have a 10-minute power nap to recover from this morning's 11km walk up and down Milford and Forrest Hill. Last weekend I did 13km on the flat at Point Wells and Omaha. Both these walks seemed quite hard and were only half the distance I will need to do on October 28! I definitely need to invest in some new shoes this weekend - and blister plasters.
