Walking 6km with 20L so women and girls don’t have to!

Auckland

On the 5thof April am taking part in a 6km walk of the Central CBD with a wider group where each person carries a 20L jerry can of water.

I will be preparing for this walk over the next couple of weeks and I am doing this to draw attention to the plight of women and girls who have to do this walk every day, and by doing so miss out on precious time to study and help look after their families.

I’d love for you to support by donating as it helps EWBNZ work with local engineers to develop their technical skills and make sure those women and girls have good access to safe and secure water supplies

Engineers without Borders NZ's involvement (page creator)

I am participating in the Walk for Water to support EWBNZ as their engineers and humanitarians work hard to build the capacity of local engineers so that they can design, operate and maintain locally sources supplies in a culturally appropriate context.
