Wellington Boxing Gym understands mental health is super important to a persons wellbeing. One key element of that is people having access to support.
Key to Life helps many people have access to affordable/free help. YAY Key to Life! We are doing this walk to fundraise funds so that they can continue to do their amazing mahi!
What are we doing?
Walking from our Kilbirnie Boxing Gym at 4-12 Cruickshank Street to our Lower Hutt Boxing Gym at 499 Hutt Road. Its 22km + and could take us 4-5 hours to complete.
Why the walk?
It allows people to 'connect' through stories of their why and who they are during the journey which the Mental Health Foundation has shown helps wellbeing. It also allows us to challenge ourselves and 'stay active', another key element to wellbeing. We are also doing this as a gym connector to pull the 2 communities together (Lower Hutt and Kilbirnie gyms and their friends and whānau)

HUGE shout out to Tranzurban who are getting involved in this fundraiser by providing buses for participants to get to the start point at Kilbirnie and also to return people back.

IT Heavy Hitters was cancelled this year due to Covid, so they hit a huge loss in funds. This event is to fundraise for Key to Life. Our involvement is that we train the blue team. We want to help make up some of their loss 💙
