Youthline - Saving and Changing Lives

Youthline is an organisation which provides New Zealand with support services for those in need. This includes a 24/7 helpline and text counselling services - these services are extremely accessible and available to those who need to seek immediate advice and support. These call lines and text services are staffed by fully trained volunteers as well as clinical staff.

As majority of New Zealand may know, New Zealand has one of the highest rates of youth suicide and having close friends who have suffered from depression, anxiety and have thought of suicide many times in their lives already, the services that Youthline provides are so crucial and their ongoing support and hard work should never go unnoticed.

One thing you may not know about Youthline is that for their services to run effectively every year, it costs the organisation $800,000 per year - only $87,000 towards this is funded already. They rely on donations and fundraisers from the community to ensure that they can keep their services going for those in need.
