We Make a Difference!

Heart Kids Canterbury has supported heart children for over 25 years.

Last year we helped 53 new heart babies or children in addition to the 480 heart children already supported. Each week new families get the devasting news their baby/child needs lifesaving surgery. We provide information, practical, financial and emotional support at a time they need it most.

Heart Kids Keeps on Helping children and families 2 November 2020

Heart Kids Canterbury has been busier than ever this year - especially during the lockdown. We were inundated with queries and calls from families needing support. There were so many changing instructions for children waiting or having surgeries our team were getting daily updates from the hospitals and keeping our families connected. It has been hard for families when they could only have one person there so we are thrilled they can now have family together at the hospital. We had to cancel our events so have really struggled financially to keep up the support but kind hearted donors have meant we can still keep on making sure no family has to go through this alone. Hopefully now we are in level one we only take steps forward and not backwards
