The R. Tucker Thompson changes lives! Our 7-day youth development voyages build teamwork, create confidence and develop leadership skills.

On board, the lessons learned provide lifelong learning through

- Creating a supportive learning environment

- Enhancing the relevance of new learning

- Facilitating shared learning

- Making connections to prior learning and experience

- Providing sufficient opportunities to learn

- Teaching as inquiry

Understanding the relevance of classroom in a practical learning environment changes perspectives for many.

Our youth development voyages are now established and growing year on year. We've increased the number of places year on year from 42 in 2006 to 180 last year. Some have applied for prefect positions, university while others outside of mainstream education have returned, seeing the importance of learning.
