meeting with both victims and offenders separately, to work towards a conference where victims of crime have a voice and a chance to say anything they need to say to the person who has harmed them, to have their questions answered. Offenders are encouraged to take responsibility for the impact of their actions.
3050 people in Canterbury have directly benefited from our services, we also network nationally with restorative service providers. The majority of our client group are the most vulnerable.
The complexity of our work has increased, referrals at presentence, post sentence and out of court- common assault, burglary, fraud to more serious offending causing harm and/or death, domestic or sexual violence.
