Aspiring Gymsports Growth Fund... New facility means new equipment, more classes, more coaches and more opportunities for our community!
Wanaka, Otago
Hundreds of local families have experienced AGS over the past 20 years – either as babies at Mini Muscles, in recreational/competitive squads, school holiday programs or community groups.
Aspiring Gymsports (AGS) celebrates its 21st in 2023, with a move to QLDC's Youth, Sports & Community Centre (aka the old Mitre 10, Reece Crescent, Wanaka). We couldn't be happier - but we've big financial goals to meet first.
Moving from 280sqm to 760sqm of gym space will allow AGS to become Central-Otago's sub-regional hub for gymnastics benefiting locals and more. However, to achieve this we need to raise approx. $230k for equipment such as a full-sized sprung floor along with upgrading our 20-year-old equipment.
Gymnastics is a foundational sport, and your kids deserve a solid, reputable gym service. To do so, we need to invest in quality equipment and employ experienced, qualified, and passionate coaches. AGS has the later, and now we need to invest in equipment that is fit for purpose and will stand the test of time. Quality, long-lasting equipment allows AGS to host competitions (becoming financially sustainable) and offer one of the widest ranging programs in Otago. Programs that are over and above traditional gymnastics like Parkour, trampolining & tumbling, team gym & cheerleading, rhythmic, aerobics, aerials and more.
We thank you for any support you can give in helping us reach our goals!
Established for 20 years, as a not for profit sports club Aspiring Gymsports has rapidly grown it’s memberships to 660, with over 400 families benefiting from the facility.
