Auckland
BEPS (Blackbridge Environmental Protection Society) is working to oppose a non-complying resource consent application for a huge managed fill. We need to pay for expert specialist advice, - including planners and lawyers because we must build a strong case to fight this proposal.
Quotes have been received for reports and representation from experts. As a committee, we have obtained quotes and prices range from $5,000 to $15,000 per report and representation.
The hearing for this consent is due to start in March 2016. We are under time pressures and need your help now. We urgently need to raise $10,000 by the end of January 2016 to pay for initial specialist advice and representation and a further $90,000 to pay for further representation.
The Blackbridge Road Environmental Protection Society has been founded to protect the environment of Blackbridge Road, Dairy Flat and surrounding areas.
Our main concern in 2016 is stopping a Managed Fill Operation proposed for Blackbridge Road. This is a non-complying consent application under the resource management act.
Fundraising update 6 February 2016
BEPS has now raised $29,520 through https://givealittle.co.nz/org/beps/donations and membership & donations into our ASB account: 12-3136-0367518-00
THANK YOU! These funds have allowed BEPS to have dust, noise and traffic reports already underway and the services of a planner for the hearing due to start in March. Our target stands at $100,000.
