Brain Injury Association Otago

Brain Injury Association (Otago) provides support, advocacy, information and education throughout the Otago region.

Otago

Our Vision: Listen, Support and Educate

Our Mission: Provide direction, choice and independence for people affected by brain injury

Our Values:

• Providing a Voice

• Community Focused

• Inclusive

• Professional Service

Brain injury is often a disability that is invisible to the world. While many may look ok on the outside, inside they can be struggling with a brain that no longer functions to the level they are used to. Our Liaison Service provides support and navigates clients through their brain injury as they rebuild their lives. Our goal is to link clients with appropriate support and services in their own community and be a source of information about brain injury.

We are independent, free and have been providing support since 2007

More about us

Brain Injury Otago helps support and navigate clients through their brain injury to achieve a fulfilling life. This can range from managing activities of daily living, reconnecting in the community, returning to work or continuing education.

Update for 10/09/2013  10 September 2013

Posted by: Cathy Matthews

Ella Stansfield and all her fantastic friends did an amazing job running either the full or half Dunedin Marathon on Sunday - Ella's wonderfully designed tee shirts caught everyone's eyes. Brain Injury Otago are so humbled and grateful for all these wonderful people running to raise awareness, and to all you wonderful people that have donated money in support of Ella. Thank you so much.
