Jox Blue Blades rowing Society

Help our small squad of hardworking and dedicated rowers have a shed at their relocated premises to keep boats and equipment safe.

Canterbury

Jox is a charitable trust established to raise the funds to allow students from St Thomas of Canterbury College participate in the sport of rowing.

Since the Canterbury earthquakes the squad of rowers has relocated to a temporary training area as the primary rowing area in Christchurch was significantly damaged; this temporary area on the Selwyn River has allowed these dedicated athletes to achieve some great outcomes however -due to the temporary nature of the setup, the equipment which has slowly been replaced since the earthquakes is open to the elements and potential vandalism.

As a group the parents of these athletes have worked diligently to make the area around a shipping container as tidy and functional as possible however a purpose built shed with racking and other essential facilities (I.E a flushing toilet rather than a portaloo) is needed.

We are looking to raise approximately $500,000.00 to build a shed to house the squads equipment and provide an area that is far more environmentally friendly to the Selwyn River area...

Your support is appreciated as it will allow these young athletes to continue to compete and perform to their highest potential - in a city that continues to rebuild and regain its facilities
