Bay of Islands College Year 12 and 13 Geography students' cultural adventure to Cambodia in 2017.
Northland
Following on from the success of our 2015 trip to Cambodia, we again plan to give our senior Geography students the opportunity to study a developing country, enable them to interact with a culture other than their own, provide opportunities for service learning as students will be helping a local school and to learn about and explore the ruins of Angkor Wat. Our senior students will be studying towards their Levels 2 and 3 Geography credits through their experiences in Cambodia next year. Click on the video above to get a taste of the students' experience during the 2015 trip.
Bay of Islands College is decile 2 College in Kawakawa in the Far North. Our roll is 90% Maori and our Year 13 Geography class is embarking on a service and cultural exchange visit to Cambodia, visiting Angkor Wat and working at a local school. It will be the trip of a life-time for the young people of our community.
