The trustees and Pacific Discovery cover all administrative costs associated with Books for Cambodia so that 100% of funds donated to Books for Cambodia is spent on purchasing books, training teachers as librarians, and establishing or renovating libraries in Cambodia.
There is an enormous need to develop educational facilities in Cambodia. Our focus is support for the development of school libraries in primary, junior and senior high schools around Angtasom, Takeo province, Cambodia, in an area where we have good links and trusted partners. Currently we support 13 schools which between them have approx 10,000 pupils.
Books for Cambodia now operates in Kampot province as well, working in partnership with two NGOS - Samaki, supporting a "Book Box" system in 17 schools and Chum Kriel Language School - library development in a number of schools.

What a fabulous contribution you and your supporters are making Sarah.??? With the total so far at NZ$930 (I don't know what it is in English pounds) that would buy approximately 250 books in Cambodia.? Books are very inexpensive there compared to England or NZ.? A big thank you to you all. Helen Walch Chairperson
