The Christchurch Coastal Pathway will become a new icon of Christchurch that will be loved by residents and visitors. It will offer a healthy, recreational space for families and individuals of all abilities; a space to connect and enjoy range of activities from sporting and recreation to environmental education. It will respect the ecological and cultural values of the shoreline.
We have been successful in securing corner stone funding from Christchurch City Council who have committed 9.9 million towards the total budget of 17 million. Fulton Hogan have contributed $250k towards intergration into earthquake repair works. The Rata Foundation support us operationally and we are grateful to all our supporters. We continue to engage with local community, stakeholders, government and the business community to build awareness and fund raise.
