Community Networks/LINK is the Upper Clutha's one-stop community support and connection centre.

Otago

Community Networks/LINK is the Upper Clutha's one-stop community support and connection centre, serving our growing community across the full wellbeing spectrum. We work to provide information and support; connect and collaborate; and build resilient community through development projects and cross-sector collaboration.

• We provide a gateway for the community to access free information and support from government agencies like MSD, WINZ, IRD; financial advisors; legal aid; and social work services.

• We coordinate community services like the Community Networks/LINK Foodbank; JP services; Total Mobility Vouchers; Meals on Wheels and Wheels to Dunstan, our community bus service connecting locals to Dunstan and Dunedin hospitals.

• We offer subsidized counselling and financial assistance with one-off household costs through our Community Support Fund.

• We work alongside local social service providers and the community to identify and address gaps in provision; develop and support projects to meet community needs; and support community groups with advice and funding.

Our Foodbank is well stocked with staple items including meat, dairy, and fresh fruit and vegetables, all generously donated by the Wānaka community and local businesses. Food parcels are available to anyone struggling to make ends meet by taking some of the pressure off day-to-day living costs for a while.

Our organisation is funded by grants and donations. This Givealittle page is active all year-round to support our general operations, or donations to the Foodbank (especially staple food items including pasta, rice, cereal, canned fish, and lunchbox snacks) are always welcome. Pop in to see our team at the Wānaka Community Hub, or visit your local New World store.

Thank you for your continued support.
