Community Wireless Trust

To whom it may concern,

I’d like a minute of your time to introduce you to the Community Wireless Trust, a recently established charitable organisation created to support schools & community organisations within New Zealand, by means of fundraising and telecommunications.

CWT not only provides competitively priced services such as ADSL, Fibre and Voip connections, but also is currently assisting a number of rural schools to break open their fibre connections for community use in both rural and urban areas, to assist funding BYOD ( Bring Your Own Device) which is a school initiative designed to ensure every student has access to the internet via their own device.

The opportunity for local communities to be able to access the same speeds that urban areas have access to, gives rural communities almost unprecedented opportunity in regards social, educational, economic and personal development. Further possibilities could be local FM Radio Stations run by students from the local High School, a collaboration space for community groups to share local information, free wifi throughout the main business areas and coverage of local events through streaming media.

The Community Wireless Trust can only achieve its goals with the assistance of generous donations from members of the public. Without these donations, serving those in need would not be possible.
