Days for Girls Northland Team makes and distributes sustainable menstrual hygiene kits, free of charge, to girls and women in need.
Northland
Days for Girls (DfG) is a global movement which makes and distributes sustainable menstrual hygiene kits, free of charge, to girls and women who need them. For many girls, having their period, mean they miss school for a week every month. The DfG kits give the girls dignity and helps to keep them in school and in work - therefore helping to break the poverty cycle.
The kits last for a minimum of three years. They are make from 100% quality cotton fabrics and we make them as beautiful as possible because the girls deserve the best we can do for them.
Our Northland Team focuses on making kits for NZ and for the Pacific Islands. Our target at present is to make at least 50 kits per month. The NZ kits cost approximately $18 each to make and the Pacific Island kits approximately $22 each because we include two pairs of undies, a washcloth and small bar of soap.
We cannot purchase materials to make kits without financial help. Please help us to change a girl’s life and give her missing days back to her. Thank you for your interest.
Days for Girls Northland Team makes and distributes reusable feminine hygiene kits to girls/ women who need them, here in NZ and around the Pacific Islands. These are given out free of charge, alongside important health education.
