Our fees are set low ($15 per child) so as to ensure all families can afford to have their child play rugby. However this does put the club under significant finanacial pressure even after considerable fundraising efforts by the parents have been included. Any outside help by funding groups is always most gratefully received by our families!

Eastern United formed in the 1950s with teams from Mangawhai, Kaiwaka and Oneroa and was the heart of the community until 1988 when teams from Kaiwaka amalgamated with Maungaturoto and became Otamatea. But the junior rugby club in Kaiwaka has retained the historical name of Eastern United and continues to be a strong club in our small community.
