In Featherston, we're so lucky to live in such a friendly and community minded town, and now we are reaching out to ask for help for those who need the most basic of things- food in their bellies. Together, we can make sure that nobody needs to go hungry this winter in our small town.

Featherston Foodbank, like many others around the country, is seeing an increase of people who need our help to put basic food on the table. Some of our local people are really doing it tough right now; and with power bills, fuel bills and rents, and clothes and food all rising, we expect to see this number rise too.

Can you help please? We promise that any funds we raise here will go directly to food. Nothing else. We are all volunteers. We won't spend any of it on admin or overheads. Every single penny will be spent on food. Food that people know how to cook, food that nourishes body and soul, given with a friendly smile and no judgement- after all, plenty of us have 'been there'.

Maybe you've 'been there' at some point in your life, maybe not. Can you contribute a one-off donation, maybe in honour of a special occasion or a special person? Or 'just because you can'? Or maybe you're able to do a regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly donation? Or maybe you can organise a workplace or family fundraiser? Maybe you could share with friends?
